Susan Recker
Something few people know about Susan Recker is that once while camping in Yosemite National Park, she needed to scare a bear away from the tent with only her voice and hands.
Susan has learned the PCCS community is very caring and committed in helping students flourish. Loss of Biodiversity is a big environmental concern of hers. She is conscientious of purchasing items that don’t harm the environment. While shopping she looks for Organic labels, Fair Trade Certified, etc. She also focuses on reusing and recycling. Susan enjoys starting anew each day and is happy to get out of bed every morning. Her favorite book as a child was The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. She enjoyed the adventure, the seclusion, and secrecy. Susan enjoys watching the movie When Harry Met Sally whenever its on. If she was 80 years old, she would tell her grandchildren, “Live in the present/live for today. Don’t dwell on yesterday or worry about tomorrow.”
