Poornima (Ms.Nima) was born and raised in Delhi, Northern India with her roots in Kerala, Southern India. Teaching and being around children is her passion. She belongs to a family of educators, her mother was a teacher and her sister is a teacher as well. She graduated from Delhi University with a bachelors in home science (specialization in child development) and a post graduate diploma in special education.
From 2006-2009 she worked with AADI, an organization working for people with special needs. Her key role was to create awareness and sensitize the community towards people with special needs and make the community more inclusive. Working in the community and with the community and to be able to make a difference in the lives of people has been one the most rewarding and life changing experience of her life. After enjoying being a stay at home mother for 5 years, she joined the PCCS team in 2022 along with her son , who is a kindergartner.
In her free time, Poornima loves to listen to music, and watch Indian films. She has a passion for cooking, and loves to try out new recipes for her husband and son. She believes that “It’s the little things in life that matter the most. Appreciate what you have. Be grateful, Be kind.”
