Haley Losoff started at PCCS in 2025. She feels especially drawn to PCCS’s mission of empowering children to better the world. As a strong proponent for children’s holistic growth, she couldn’t be happier to be a part of a community that deeply values both the child and the larger community. Starting as a homeless liaison in Ames, Iowa to receiving her M.Ed in school counseling at Northeastern Illinois University, it was always her dream to connect students, their families, and staff to the surrounding environment and community. She couldn’t think of a better place than PCCS to live out her dream.
Her counseling philosophy is likened to that of tending a garden – sowing seeds of encouragement and empathy, nourishing through knowledge and support, all to foster growth and resilience. Going into this school year, she will be guided by the words of Mary Oliver: “Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting – over and over announcing your place in the family of things.”
