Anthony Vernon is very excited to be a resource teacher at PCCS. He originally received his Bachelor of Arts in 2009 at Eastern Illinois University. After working as a sub for 2 and a half years, he eventually found his calling working with students with Special Needs. He eventually decided to get his Masters in Special Education from Western Governors University, and in 2018 began his career as a Special Education Teacher.
While in college, Anthony played Trombone in the EIU Marching Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Lab Band. Since graduating, Anthony has taken up sewing and enjoys making costumes of characters from various shows including Star Wars, Star Trek, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. His favorite book series is The Chronicles of Narnia. When not working, Anthony takes time to volunteer and raise money for charities like Extra Life for Lurie’s Children Hospital. He is super excited to be part of the school, teach the students, and help give back to the community and to the environment.
