Leah Stender

Leah is the Director of the Urbanism & Planning Department at a global engineering, architectural and geospatial firm.  She leads a growing Federal Planning, Community Planning, Landscape Architecture and Sustainability Planning practice. In her role, she leads multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions, brainstorm, and take on new challenges to ensure innovative solutions for her public, private and federal clients. Leah received her Masters Degree in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and a BS in Biology from Principia College.

Leah and her husband, Josh, a biochemist, have two girls who have attended PCCS since 2018. They live in Grayslake with their dog, Moose, and love camping, hiking, being outdoors and going on adventures as a family.

With Leah’s focus on the built environment and the impacts on the global community and her background in environmental sciences, she is excited that their children have the opportunity to attend a school with such a focus on environmental stewardship and developing natural leaders.
