Emma Howard started at PCCS in 2018 as an Instructional Assistant. Ms. Howard is working towards achieving an MBA (Master of Business Administration) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Being an Instructional Assistant at PCCS allows her to continue working in education to help students become lifelong learners while giving her the flexibility to continue her own education. Ms. Howard graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Middle Level Education. She has taught 7th and 8th grade math and social studies in Florida, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Ms. Howard enjoys bike riding in her free time and traveling to national and state parks, such as Yellowstone and Starved Rock. She understands the importance of preserving our natural resources so that generations to come can enjoy them. One interesting thing people might not know about Ms. Howard is she is both gluten free and a vegetarian. She was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 6th grade and has been a vegetarian since she was 5 years old. One of Ms. Howard’s favorite quotes is by Nelson Mandela. He said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.
