Mr. Deigan was introduced to PCCS in 2000, when his twin daughters were selected in the school lottery. In 2004, Geoff volunteered as the manager for the creation of the Comstock, Carson and Gym buildings, allowing PCCS to expand into a full K-8 public school. He served on the Board in ’07, and during his 4 year tenure as Chair, he led an engaged, passionate and focused team of Directors with strong results.
In 2013, Mr. Deigan returned as Executive Director to elevate the schools mission, vision and culture. In 1997, Geoff founded an ecological consulting firm and as CEO provides the firm’s ongoing vision. He is also Chair for the Institute for Environmental Education a nonprofit group that promotes innovative approaches to environmental education in schools and communities.
His favorite book is Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv as it “is seminal for how we create opportunities for our future generations by connecting children to nature”. His favorite quote is from when Louv visited PCCS in 2012 and told him “You guys got it right, Keep pushing it”
