Judy Bergman started at PCCS in 2018 as an Instructional Assistant. Mrs. Bergman was drawn to PCCS because of its dedication to nature and the environment. She feels that it is extremely important for children to be able to get outside and explore the world around them. The fact that it is part of the curriculum at PCCS is awesome! Mrs. Bergman earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Eastern Illinois University. She worked in a hospital laboratory for 10 years before deciding to stay home with her 2 children. Mrs. Bergman was heavily involved in volunteering during her children’s early school years and that is when she realized her dream was to work with children. She has worked as a preschool aide, a lead preschool teacher and most recently as a Special Education assistant. Mrs. Bergman feels most at peace when she is outside. Her dream is to someday live by the ocean but in the meantime, she loves to sit in her sunroom or on her patio and enjoy the natural beauty of the forest preserve that is her backyard! Her favorite one sentence quote is “Be kind to everyone you meet because you never know what battles people are fighting”. No matter how many times she’s seen it, Mrs. Bergman would watch any movie in the Harry Potter series whenever it is on! Harry Potter marathon weekends on TV are the best! Ocean’s Eleven is a close second.
