Volunteer at PCCS

"The true meaning of life is to plant trees,
under whose shade you do not expect to sit."

~ Nelson Henderson

Prairie Crossing Charter School encourages the participation of
the entire family in the education process and emphasizes
the importance of a pledge to life-long learning. The parental
role in achieving the Prairie Crossing Charter School vision is
critical, and we are very grateful to the many volunteers who
help our school to succeed every day.

Volunteerism and financial contributions are not requirements
for enrolling in or remaining at Prairie Crossing Charter
School. For more information, please read our Volunteer Policy.

All volunteers at Prairie Crossing Charter School must

Thank you for

April Volunteer of the Month—Auction Committee!

We have so many people to recognize this month! Our nominees for this month include the Lounge Angels; the Spring Scholastic Book Fair Coordinators (Julie Kotzamanis & Kristy Miller); Joyce Siregar; the online auction data entry volunteers (Peggy Goldman, Ellyn Ruhlmann, Jenn Piwonski, Sadiya Hasnain, Swetal Patel, Sasirekha Ayyalaraju, Bridget Chaney, and Tricia Fullerton); auction bulk mailing volunteers (Annette Johnson, Kelly Badgley, The Psimaras Family, Sandi Hansen, Katie Germata, Arielle and Laura Fay, Sue Tomei, Julie Kotzamanis, Robin Burklow, and Madoka Takahaski); auction donation volunteers (Chris Hershiser, Annette and Mike Johnson, and Daisy Hoeft); and auction centerpiece volunteers (Neil Estrick and Nancy and Mark Wunderlich).

Our April Volunteers of the Month are the Auction Committee members (Neil Estrick, Laura Fay, Melonie Johnson, Kristy Miller, and Janette Siegel).  Our Auction is our biggest fundraising event, held annually in an effort to support the mission and vision of Prairie Crossing Charter School.  Many hands are needed to make an event such as this a success.  The volunteers that served on the Auction Committee were instrumental in planning, coordinating and making this event a success.  As you can see from our list of nominees, our school thrives and succeeds through the efforts of all of our volunteers. Thank you for being part of the PCCS community!

The Staff and Administration of Prairie Crossing Charter School would like to reiterate that volunteerism and financial contributions are not requirements for enrolling in or remaining at Prairie Crossing Charter School.  Please review the school's volunteer policy.

Prairie Crossing Charter School is a public school that transforms our children through academic discovery and interaction with our unique natural, ecological, and community resources.
