Stefanie Gehrig is thrilled to join the dedicated staff at PCCS. Mrs. Gehrig graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She went on to get her Master of Arts from Columbia College-Chicago. She has exhibited her photography in several galleries in Chicago. After working as a professional graphic artist in the publishing world for more than 16 years, she decided to take her creativity into the classroom. She finished her Master of Arts in Teaching at National-Louis University. Mrs. Gehrig spent the summer teaching at the Chicago Botanic Garden, where she taught art and outdoor survival skills.
When Mrs. Gehrig is not thinking of fun, engaging projects to teach children about art, she is spending time with her husband, her two daughters and their funny dog. She loves cross-country skiing in the winter, kayaking and canoeing in the summer, and hiking and doing yoga all year round.
Mrs. Gehrig is delighted to have found such an amazing community at PCCS. She is sincerely looking forward to working with all the curious, enthusiastic Prairie Crossing Charter School students.
