Melissa Kulbeda began as a 1st and 2nd grade multiage teacher at PCCS in 2011. Melissa graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2005 with a degree in elementary education. She enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family, and learning new things. Melissa is a bird-lover and likes to watch the red-winged blackbirds fly from plant to plant in Rollins Savanna and swans swim down the Fox River. She even has her very own talking eclectus parrot!

Ms. Kirsten Hoklas began as an Instructional Assistant at PCCS in 2012. Ms. Hoklas attended Northern Michigan University where she received her BA degree in Elementary Education. She plans on furthering her education by taking courses when possible and receiving her E.S.L. endorsement. Ms. Hoklas ran Cross Country and Track in college and plans on starting a running/fitness club at PCCS. While attending college in Michigan, Ms. Hoklas’ university elected her for the Michigan Campus Compact Award for volunteering over 400 hours within various communities. She also had the opportunity to travel to New Zealand for a month and volunteer across the world helping develop a recycling center. Ms. Hoklas’ dream is to visit all 7 continents and learn about all the different cultures.
