Karin Stefans joined the PCCS community in 2012 as a 5/6 multiage teacher. Ms. Stefans graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, where she received a B.A. in elementary education and endorsements in English and natural science. While in college, she had the opportunity to study abroad for four months at the University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland. This was a wonderful opportunity to see a different type of education system, and she feels so fortunate to have had that experience. Ms. Stefans also traveled to Japan twice during college thanks to her participation in the Carthage Wind Orchestra as a flute player.
In her spare time, Ms. Stefans enjoys reading children's and young adult literature so that she can provide helpful book recommendations to her students. She also enjoys camping with her family, bike-riding, swimming, crafting, and cooking delicious food!
