Mrs. Barnett

Grade: Kindergarten — Room: 11

Mrs. Katy Barnett has been teaching Kindergarten at PCCS since 2005. She earned her Master’s of Arts in Teaching at National-Louis University. Katy came to Prairie Crossing with a background in Music Therapy. At Prairie Crossing, Katy teaches Kindergarten and tutors in Math. She also facilitates the Tae Kwon Do and Recycled Arts and Crafts afterschool clubs.

In her free time, she works for WINGS, a non-profit organization in the northwest suburbs; plays in a traditional West African Drumming band; and continues to practice martial arts and train for sprint triathlons. Katy enjoys being outside, hiking, fishing and camping with family and friends.
