Marina Treto started at PCCS in 2017 as an Instructional Assistant. What brought her to PCCS was the unique learning environment, out-of-the-box lessons, and the close knit community. She believes every student should have access to hands-on learning, think creatively, and become future leaders. Marina went to the University of Dubuque and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement. She has been involved in the education setting her whole life, from her parents being involved in the school districts to being a teacher over the summers at a local daycare. She loves the environment, especially going on nature walks and paddle boarding in local areas. She thinks recycling, reusing, and reducing plays a big role in helping out the environment and has hopes for making the world cleaner each year. Something that people may not know about Marina is that she loves going on adventures to different places around the U.S. Marina’s favorite quote is said by Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Her favorite childhood book is Rainbow Fish because not only does it have great images, but has a great message behind it. It taught her how to have morals and to value individualism.
