Ms. Evensen

Position: Instructional Assistant

Saeram Evensen started at PCCS in 2016 as Instructional Assistant. One of the reasons she came to PCCS is because of the emphasis PCCS places on the environment and the community. The fact that she could make a great impact on students, the community and the environment as a member of PCCS made her very enthusiastic as an educator. Saeram earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Sungshin Women’s University in South Korea, and is currently attending Concordia Chicago to earn her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught at private preschools for the last 3 years and now is ready to make the jump to teaching Elementary school.  Saeram’s appreciation towards nature leads her to live a happy, simple and clean life through activities such as gardening and hiking. There are so many gifts nature brings us and she tries to enjoy every aspect of it. Her environmentally conscious mind will be very apparent through activities at PCCS and she believes the students will learn to appreciate nature and be a part of a healthy environment as a result.  Her biggest environmental concern is that there is too much waste people unconsciously pour into nature. She recycles, reuses and avoids using plastics. Saeram’s favorite quote is “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”
