11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Sat., Sept. 24 at the Prairie Crossing Farm

Join the Liberty Prairie Foundation and Prairie Crossing Farmers at our Fall Festival from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 24 as we celebrate another successful season at the Prairie Crossing Farm.

We’ll offer free hayride tours of the Prairie Crossing Farm. Hayrides will depart at approximately 11:15 and 1:00 p.m. from the parking lot at the Yellow Farmhouse. Parents are required to ride the hayride with their children and provide supervision.

There will be plenty of ways to support YOUR local farmers through a variety of locally-grown products! Stock up on fall vegetables grown by Radical Root Farm, Sandhill Family Farms, and other farm products. You can also learn about pastured ducks with Duck Tail Farm and pastured pork with Yaw-Ye Farms.

New this year, you will also be able to enjoy several hands-on educational activities as well as partake in any or all of the following free workshops:

11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Native Plants for Your Yard and Garden

11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Making Natural Beauty Products

12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. – The Art of Making Sauerkraut

12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Common Garden Pests

1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Growing Garlic

The Fall Festival will be held in the Prairie Crossing Farm’s Yellow Farmhouse parking lot at 32400 N. Harris Road. Parking will be on both sides of Harris Road. Please be respectful of our farm neighbors, and do not block their driveways. Enter the farm through the Prairie Crossing subdivision and follow the “Farm Event” signs. Post-event traffic will exit through the gate, allowing access to Route 120.

Good Agricultural Practices discourage even the best trained animals near fields used for growing food, so please leave all pets at home except service dogs. The Prairie Crossing Farm is a smoke-free facility. The Fall Festival will be held rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Limited restroom facilities (Port-a-Potties) are available on the Prairie Crossing Farm.

Please join us as we celebrate at the Fall Festival!
