Opening for PCCS Board of Directors Position
September 28, 2012
At the September 27, 2012 regular Board meeting the PCCS Board approved Anita Thomas to join the
Board with a three year term beginning October 23, 2012. We welcome Anita and look forward to the
contributions that she will make to our governance process.
The Board received one application for two open Board positions. The timeline for the unfilled position
will begin on Monday, October 1, 2012. The term for the position will commence when the Board votes
to accept a candidate, and will be completed at the annual meeting of the PCCS Board of Directors in
2015.
The PCCS Board of Directors is comprised of nine individuals, each holding a 3-year elected or
appointed position on the board. Every year, three Board positions become eligible for replacement.
Two of these positions are appointed by the School Board, and one is elected by the PCCS parent
community.
Applications for the open Board-appointed Board position will be accepted beginning Monday
October 1, 2012.
Becoming a member of the PCCS Board of Directors is a great way to get involved and proactively work
for the school and its mission. It is also a significant responsibility and commitment to the children,
parents, staff and community of Prairie Crossing Charter School.

strengths related to board work and why you feel you would be an asset to the board)
✓ Resume
✓ Three (3) Letters of Recommendation
The above documents should be turned into the school office by 3:30pm on Thursday, October
25, 2012. Applications received after this time will be considered invalid. Applications should be sent
Attn: Peggy Boyle, Nominating Committee Chairperson.
