Buy raffle tickets now for the 4 great prizes: Pampered Girl Basket, Perfectly Princess Basket, Fun & Fiction Basket, and Very Krafty Kid's Kit! 1 ticket = $5, 6 tickets = $25, 15 tickets = $50. Print more tickets NOW and turn them in before the Dance by February 20th to the Kennicott Building or your child's teacher, or simply bring them to the Dance!
SATURDAY, APRIL 20TH, 2013: DATE CONFIRMED FOR OUR GARDEN PARTY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AUCTION!
We are thrilled to announce our Garden Party to Make a Difference Auction to benefit our organization. The Auction is our largest and most successful fundraising event, and this year, we are holding our second online auction prior to our live event. The online auction will run from April 3rd through April 18th, 2013 on Bidding for Good, a prominent and highly effective nonprofit auction site, and will allow PCCS and our generous donors to significantly expand our numeric and geographic reach. The live event will be held on April 20th, 2013 at Illinois State Beach Resort in Zion, IL. Money raised from our Auction is directed toward Prairie Crossing Charter School's general operating fund.
PRAIRIE PEDAL: SUNDAY, MAY 19TH, 2013
Prairie Pedal is a family-focused bicycle ride and festival. The event includes multiple bicycle routes to accommodate the abilities and desires of everyone who wants to ride. Nature spots and educational activities are interspersed along the routes, allowing children and adults to gain hands-on experience and enjoy the opportunity to interact with natural open spaces. The bicycle routes will all end at the Byron Colby Barn, where participants can enjoy a meal prepared from locally grown ingredients and a festival with opportunities for event partners and sponsors to engage riders in all sorts of activities!
FUNDRAISER/EVENT APPLICATION
If you have a great idea for a fundraiser or event that you would like to facilitate for PCCS, please follow these steps and utilize the updated fundraising/event proposal form, attached here:
1. Fill out the attached “Fundraising and Event Application” (see below).
2. Complete the proposed budget.
3. Turn the form and proposed budget in to the Development Office at least 6 weeks before the proposed date for your fundraiser/event (if large event, more time is needed for planning).
4. The proposal will be reviewed by the Development Department; within one
week of receipt of proposal, the Development Department will respond to you with a
decision.
5. If you would like your fundraiser/event to be included in PCCS’ weekly newsletter, you
must submit your desired copy to newsletter [at] pccharterschool [dot] org by Wednesday at
5pm of the week you want it published.
6. To discuss facilities arrangements for your fundraiser/event, please contact the
Bookkeeper at 847-543-0752.
7. You must have any marketing or advertising for your fundraiser approved by PCCS
before you submit it to an outside party (i.e., newspaper, flyers, etc.). Please send all
such files to ddybas [at] pccharterschool [dot] org.

If you propose a fundraiser or event for PCCS, you are taking on the responsibility of coordinating and facilitating the fundraiser/event yourself or of finding someone to do so. As mentioned above, if the fundraiser or event is large and/or has the potential to raise a lot of money for PCCS, then PCCS Staff may be more heavily involved. Click here to see the form.
